PRODUCT LEADER · STORYTELLER · CREATOR

Building products with culture at the core.

I'm Mikey Fiume, a director of product. Plenty of products work. The ones I care about are the ones people actually feel, and a lot of that comes down to instinct you won't find on a roadmap.

Steaming deep teal ceramic espresso cup on a Carrara marble counter beside an open MacBook, a sprig of fresh rosemary, and a worn leather notebook in warm window light.
A young man with dark hair and a beard wearing a beige Adidas hoodie outdoors with a mountainous landscape and cloudy sky in the background.

THE SHORT VERSION

I've spent over a decade building tech products, and my whole life building everything else. The music, the family, the stories told around Sunday tables in Italian-American kitchens: none of it is separate from the work. It's where I learned to read people and figure out what they actually need.

THREE DIMENSIONS OF THE WORK

Product & Technology

A cluttered workspace with multiple screens, a notebook with app concept sketches, a tablet displaying design settings, a black mug with a quote, stacked books, a camera, camera parts, sketches, a pen, and notes on a wooden desk.

Leading teams, shaping roadmaps, and shipping products that change how people actually work and live. Strategy that stays close to the craft.

Music & Creativity

A music production workspace featuring a large monitor displaying digital audio workstation software, a laptop with music editing software, studio monitor speakers, headphones, various books and notebooks on the wooden desk, a coffee mug, a small potted cactus, framed artwork and maps on the wall, a vintage-style Edison bulb light, and other audio equipment.

Music isn't a side hobby for me. It taught me to listen, to feel timing, to know when to push and when to hold back. It's also made me a better builder and communicator.

Heritage & Story

A wooden desk with vintage books, an open handwritten journal, black-and-white photographs, a map of Italy, a ceramic cup, and a pen, with a green sprig on the journal.

The Italian-American way of making things with care, holding nothing back, and building something worth being proud of. I always believe there's a better version of whatever we're making, even if no one's pulled it off yet.

Interesting conversations welcome.

Whether you're thinking about product, building something new, or just want to talk — I'm always up for it.
